Awesome power of music, hope and faith

This is the moment on September 24th, 2006, one year and a month after Katrina, when U2 and Green Day got behind the Saints in the newly restored Louisiana Superdome and gave New Orleanians the power of hope, faith and belief that we would live and thrive again.  Jeanine, Julie and I were there on the floor of the Dome in front of the stage with a hundred other people before the game, waving our arms and cheering ourselves hoarse.  It was my first time in the Dome for a football game.  After losing all but three games in the 2005 season and almost moving to San Antonio, the Saints, with new head coach Sean Payton and new quarterback Drew Brees, beat main rival Atlanta Falcons 23-3 on that day in the 2006 opener, went 10-6, and beat the Eagles for their first-ever Divisional championship before losing to the Bears in the Conference playoff.  (Chicago fans taunting us in Soldier Field we should've drowned in the flood.  Screw 'em.)  You know what happened this year.
