Wedding song, by Eric Kloss

"Think not that you can direct the course of love. For love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course."
- Kahlil Gibran

Eric Kloss, Patrice's brother, wrote this song and performed it at our wedding.

The title is a reference to a quote from Kahlil Gibran that was on our wedding program.

Found Worthy

On a course for no matter what
She was put right where she started
Sliding through as smooth as chrome
She never knew her sign
And so went across a telephone line
That she thought belonged somewhere in a poem
As she saw sand storms and sea foam
She found worthy

He opened up when his eyes were shut
Moves were afoot, so he looked around
A far cry for a way home
He didn’t think too much
Always meant to stay in touch
With all the things he has never known
Between some Catskills and catacombs
He found worthy

At times and times again
It will lead you on when
You’re at this point aware
It’s everywhere

Directors yelling cut sometimes
Or chimes of freedom flashing
That don’t follow what goes around
When you’ve found worthy in the present day
I guess you’ve struck gold in your own way

At times and times again\
It will lead you on when
You’re at this point aware
It’s everywhere
